Brand Identity

The Makana Foundation brand identity

“Fantastic!! Thanks so much! It's beautiful”

— Natalie, The Makana Foundation · Belleville, MI

Why Pro Bono

The Makana Foundation feeds families and fixes homes for people who can't afford it. Veterans, seniors, and low-income Wayne County families — no family should go hungry or live in an unsafe home. That mission matters.

We live and work in this community. When an organization like this shows up, the right call is to show up for them. CutLevel Studio built their brand identity and is building their website entirely for free. No invoice. No pitch. Just good work for good people.

What We Built

Logo Design

Two full concepts with revision rounds. Delivered in PNG, SVG, and PDF. Light and dark versions included.

Color Palette

Primary, secondary, and accent colors with hex codes, RGB values, and usage guidelines for both print and digital.

Typography System

Heading and body font pairings with size scales, weight usage, and Google Fonts recommendations.

Style Guide

A complete reference document covering logo usage rules, color applications, typography hierarchy, and do/don't examples.

Full Website (In Progress)

Multi-page website covering their Food Rescue and Home Repair programs, donation flow, and community impact — being built and launched at no cost.

The Outcome

The Makana Foundation now has a professional identity that positions them credibly with donors, corporate partners, and the families they serve. The response — “It's beautiful” — says everything about what it means to hand someone their brand for the first time.

The website, when launched, will make it easy for families to request food or home repair help, for volunteers to sign up, and for donors to give. Every dollar stays local.
